I’m thrilled to be showing art at the Scandinavian Centre. My loving grandparents on my father’s side were Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish. Unfortunately, as immigrants to Canada they wanted to fit in as Canadians. I never heard them speak their original language but I did appreciate my grandmother’s pickled herring and Swedish meatballs! I’m looking forward to tapping into my Scandinavian heritage.

I’ll be participating in the 2025 West of Main Art Walk. This event showcases artists with studios located from Main Streat to Kitsilano, Point Grey, and Dunbar, and from Granville Island to 41st Avenue. It’s a wonderful opportunity to view amazing art by a very diverse group of artists. And we as artists love the chance to talk about what we do with people who love art!
It’s a great honour to have been chosen, along with Monica Gewurz (painter) and Diane Roy (sculptor), to exhibit our work in this large and beautiful gallery in Port Coquitlam. Opening Night is June 26 and the Artists’ Talk will be July 5th.
My open studio last year was such a blast. I had such fun seeing so many friends and making new ones. Can’t wait to do it again!
It’s always an honour to be asked to show my work in my own community. The exhibition takes place at the White Rock Library at 15342 Buena Vista Avenue, White Rock BC.
I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to have been asked to teach an abstract night course for five weeks (one Thursday per week) for the South Surrey and White Rock Art Society.
